Authentic Stories from Diners
We found the google review 4.9 rating. Very Disappointed. The squid was very hard to chew, not fresh and feels like sitting out for long time and being multiple deep fried. The second dish beef fried with bell pepper and onions also tastes weird, beef is only few slices and over cooked. The third dish curry shrimp is light curry flavour with 4 pieces shrimps, tastes just so so. And last dish fire buffalo the meat still raw, have to call them to recook , and it’s come back over cooked . It’s expensive restaurant and bad food . Not recommended restaurant. I don’t know how the 4.9 rating comes.
We ate here twice during our trip to Ho Chi Minh. The food is lovely and the staff are great. A special shoutout to Audrey. We highly recommend the Fried Tofu with salted egg yolk sauce , lemongrass braised chicken with rice.
The Taste of Saigon offers a vibrant and authentic culinary journey right at your table. The steaming bowls of phở, with their deeply aromatic broth, and the irresistibly crispy bánh xèo are absolute standouts, bursting with fresh herbs and flavor. Our experience was made even more memorable by Harry, a staff member whose warm hospitality and knowledgeable recommendations truly elevated our meal. Its location near the walking street makes it a perfectly convenient and delightful stop after exploring the area. For a direct, delicious, and highly satisfying introduction to the heart of Saigon's cuisine, this spot is a fantastic choice.
Make a Reservation at A Taste of Saigon old market branch but mistakenly came to this ‘Kitchen’ branch near Bùi Vién. Despite their pack of orders and full booked at that time, they sympathized us and managed to get us a table for 7 , I noticed Ashley works on it she is super nice and helpful. Also Ms. Anna who took our order very helpful and knowledgeable about the food. I was happy following her recommendations to order their in house specialty ‘Hibiscus tea’ and it was so good. All staff were so friendly and handy, food was chefs kiss good. Will sure come back when i visit Ho Chi Minh ❤️
Decided to try this place out after friends raved about the reviews. Its location couldn’t have been more convenient as it was right around the corner of the hostel we were staying at. Came as a group of 4 and instantly got a spot even though there were already people dining there. Our server was Ashley and was very polite, accommodating, and prompt with service. I ordered the green papaya salad with pork & shrimp. I had yet to taste this dish or anything similar and it was quite delicious. I was very pleased with the quality, freshness, flavor, and presentation. Thank you for the great experience and for giving us a great “taste of Saigon” :).
