This experience suits travelers who appreciate traditional performing arts and are interested in local customs presented in an accessible format. It is ideal for those seeking an evening activity that differs from typical urban nightlife, including families with older children, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors wanting to combine live entertainment with other Ho Chi Minh City experiences like river dining or scenic city rides. The show’s gentle pace and seating arrangement make it suitable for a wide range of guests.

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

This tour gives you a quick overview of the Mekong Delta; then exit with your boat cruise upstream on the Mekong River to Cambodia.

Authentic Stories from Diners
It’s a trap! It tasted like unseasoned microwave airplane food or something for a toddler’s birthday party. When I looked up their Michelin mention, it is for one dish from their menu and the decor. Also first time I had such a horrible surprise in Vietnam. Ordered a red curry with chickpeas (there was literally 5 chickpeas on the dish) My husband ordered the oyster mushrooms tempura and soft tofu (The batter was so hard we couldn’t eat) They charged 28% on top of the bill! What a joke! Anyways it doesn’t reflect the amazing food/service in Vietnam in general. it’s just a VERY BAD BUSINESS using GREEN WASH tactics and RUINING your day! Shame on you for not being honest and up front.
I have a very great special time at this restaurant with friends and family 🥳. The assistant is doing very good job to take care the customers, asking what I want and show me the menu for me can choose it. Her name is Thư and she is very professional, caring and great customers service at the restaurant before I visit. I have come to the restaurant four times and every time with different people and always have a good time and good food, nothing to complain. If you are in Saigon or visit Saigon and want to try some healthy food and vegetarian so I highly recommended this place. The food is delicious and satisfied eyes looking first. Everything tastes is just balance. The price is reasonable The bathroom 🚻 is clean and good smell. They take good care of it so that's important for every restaurant.
A truly elevated vegetarian experience in the heart of Saigon. It’s easy to see why Chay Garden earned its spot in the Michelin Guide. The atmosphere is a peaceful escape from the city’s bustle—I loved the colonial villa setting and the lush garden patio. Service was attentive and professional. It’s a bit pricier than your average local spot, but for the quality and ambiance, it’s worth every dong.
This charming and elegant restaurant offers a delightful selection of comfort foods and beverages. I was excited to try the new flavors—Oolong tea with lotus seed and lemongrass, and a visually appealing dish called Garden Larb from the menu. Everything tasted wonderful, with dishes thoughtfully prepared with love and care. I'm absolutely sure I'll be returning next time I visit HCMC, as I truly enjoyed my experience here.
In short, the food is amazing, so tasty and flavourful and well presented and very generous portions. The atmosphere is relaxed, romantic, cultural and sophisticated - a really beautiful place to have lunch and the servers were very attentive to our needs. However, not wanting to distract from the beautiful meal we had.. the servers were a little 'too' attentive when clearing away our plates, they were a little eager and quick - just take it easy a little more please. Thank you 😊
