This experience suits travelers who appreciate traditional performing arts and are interested in local customs presented in an accessible format. It is ideal for those seeking an evening activity that differs from typical urban nightlife, including families with older children, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors wanting to combine live entertainment with other Ho Chi Minh City experiences like river dining or scenic city rides. The show’s gentle pace and seating arrangement make it suitable for a wide range of guests.

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

Authentic Stories from Diners
Quan Ngon is a pleasant spot for a relaxed Vietnamese dinner, especially if you enjoy traditional comfort food in homely Chinoise style setting without breaking your wallet. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with much of the outdoors vibrancy coming from the warm lantern lighting and inside, the Asian-chinoiserie interior décor. The space is open and well-ventilated (no fully enclosed walls), making it ideal for an evening meal. The overall vibe leans more towards comforting, homestyle Vietnamese food rather than luxurious or highly refined courses. There is seating available both upstairs and downstairs. A few interesting decorative features installed around the restaurant include a gold-white steel vintage motorbike, a rock statue, and a swing upstairs. Food-wise, the sour and spicy soup was satisfying and well balanced. The noodle portion was not overly heavy with a chewy qq texture. The meat in the soup was tender, soft, and lightly chewy, similar to well-cooked pho beef: supple, not dry, and easy to bite through while still having some body. The Vietnamese platters were decent overall (around a 6/10). The highlights were clearly the fried items, especially the fried beef-stuffed and vegetable-stuffed "popiahs" which were crisp and flavourful withoht being too oily. The "otak-otak" on the platter came with large lettuce and salad leaves for wrapping. The bún chả was well proportioned, with enough meat to properly accompany the noodles. I will recommend requesting extra lime/lemon as the set lacks an acidity source. Many dishes are assembly-based (similar to salads or DIY wraps) rather than fully integrated dishes like fried rice or pasta. This means the experience depends a lot on how much effort the diner puts into mixing and matching components. The mint served with the platters can sometimes be overpowering, particularly the larger leaves, which may dominate the overall flavour. The final bill for 2 dishes and 2 platters ended up around 650000 VNÐ, which is quite cheap actually :D
Been here approximately 5 time already. This is a most visit when im in saigon. Definitely tasty and delicious food and most item wont disappoints you. . Very traditional setting and vibe to the layout and the way the kitchen line is set up Make you feels you are getting food from street stall. . Diffently recommend the fried crsipy tilapia and the the banh xeo here when visit.
There were 4 of us, and we ordered 8 dishes. Only 4 of them were decent, while the other 4 were truly disappointing in both quality and flavor, especially considering the prices at this restaurant 😠😠😠. The 2 most disappointing dishes are noodles with immature chicken eggs and stuffed nails. 😒 The immature chicken eggs were fake, it tasted disgusting, I had to spit it out. The stuffed nails was full of powder, I guess only 5% of meat + snails. Why do they do business with this manner? I could not understand given the snail in Vietnam is very cheap… 🙄🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I initially found it strange that there weren’t many customers on a Saturday night, and most of them were foreigners until I tried the food. 😌 It was a complete waste of money, time, and a dinner to be here. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
The restaurant is built in a heritage building and inside is antique style furnishings. It is opposite the independence building. Good variety of Vietnamese food which includes vegetarian food also
We came here as a family of three on a Thursday evening around 7pm. We were seated outside by the friendly staff and our order was taken promptly and efficiently. The surroundings are authentic in an old heritage buidling. The food arrived quickly and was of excellent quality....much better than we expected as we thought the restaurant may be a little touristy given it's location. The portions were large and very tasty. Food tour qroups arrived on mopeds shortly after we had been seated. Surely a sign that the food is good. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The toliets were clean. Final take....excellent!
