Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

The food was great! We had the Banh xeo, stir fry beef with rice and hanoi shrimp rolls. All of it were good! We were so full we had to take out some. Serving is good too! Most diners were foreigners when we came. They prepare and explain how to eat the food whenever they serve it, which was a huge plus since we are not locals. Ruby was very cheerful and welcoming. She checks if we need anything just tell her.

This location is very clean and the service is good. The food was enjoyable, and the coconut coffee was delicious. Ruby was very kind and provided great service. We ordered the Bánh Xèo, and she showed us how to roll it properly. She also let us know that we could get extra vegetables and fish sauce, which was a nice touch.

We stopped at Hoang’s Kitchen for lunch during a guided city tour, on our guide’s recommendation, and we’re glad we did. The ground floor was busy, mostly with locals and Asian guests, which felt like a very good sign. We were seated on the first floor in a quieter area, which was perfect for a relaxed lunch break after a busy sightseeing morning. The service was attentive and genuinely friendly. The food was excellent: beef pho, fried shrimp, beef in pepper sauce, cashew chicken, and a mango seafood salad. Everything we tried was delicious. One small note for families with picky kids: there are no chicken nuggets or similar “emergency food” on the menu (which is understandable for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant), but the French fries were good and solved the problem for us. Overall, a very positive experience, highly recommended!

We stopped by after exploring Ben Thanh Market and were so glad we did! The location is super convenient and an easy walk from the surrounds. The pho broth was rich and flavourful, and the summer rolls were incredibly fresh. The egg coffee was rich, creamy with a strong hit of coffee. I visited with my husband and son, and we all enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service was amazing — staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke great English. Highly recommend!

enjoyed our dinner here, I think their bahn xeo is really good— it came with rice paper, lettuce, coriander, pineapples & cucumber to roll with and inside there is plenty of meat, bean sprouts and carrots. The nước mắm was flavourful and had the perfect amount of spice. I think the prices are reasonable as well, however, the coconut was 70K VND — you could get it for minimum 25K VND elsewhere. The service was great, the waiter showed us how to properly eat bahn xeo and made a roll for us. They also provided a high chair and a toy for my baby. The only disappointment was the fact that they didn’t had the betel leaves nor the bu luc lac when we came (we got there at 8PM and they close at 10PM). Would definitely come back! ☺️
