Authentic Stories from Diners
I had a perfect birthday dinner here ! They created absolute delicious food. I love the open kitchen restaurant and they have one. The service is great. The staffs are very attentive and knowledgeable. Not a big fun of white wine but asked one of their employees for recommendations as we were eating seafood and it was great. They have the bar upstairs and the vibe is very calm and pleasant. The drinks are great too. You should try if you are looking for French/ modern European cuisine. I will definitely go back there when I’m in Saigon again.
Perfect spot for a Valentine’s date! Cozy atmosphere, not too noisy, and great for deep conversations. - Food: Everything was delicious, especially the Tacos and Steak. The beef was tender, paired perfectly with the sauce and creamy mashed potatoes. - Dessert: The ice cream tasted fresh and authentic, you can tell it’s made from real fruits. - Service: Friendly and attentive staff. They gifted us roses with chocolate inside at the end of the meal. Highly recommended for couples or small groups.
I came to Quince to celebrate my birthday on my own, and the service truly made the night special. Ms.Nikki, the lady who served me was warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely… her presence made the entire experience feel comfortable and welcoming, and it really elevated my evening. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed, perfect for a quiet celebration. The food was nicely executed and enjoyable, though for me it was more understated than show-stopping. Still, everything was well presented and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, a beautiful place with standout service. I left feeling taken care of, and that meant a lot on a special night.
Maybe expectations were too high for Quince, but the food was extremely mid! I was anticipating Mediterranean hints and flavors but our food came out a little boring. Great atmosphere and service though! We ordered the risotto, duck, and prosciutto salad which was the only option that sounded refreshing. The risotto was unmemorable. The duck was juicy and I liked the sauce, but nothing outstanding. The prosciutto salad had persimmon, which was a nice surprise, but I still wish they had other salad options. They surprised us with a cute selection of sweet treats after we finished our meal, I would recommend going for the chocolate one. The pink marshmallow tasted cheap and sugary. I might come back to try the octopus and lamb because I did really enjoy the atmosphere. Superb interior decor at Madam Kew on the second floor. Another thing, Quince is located on a dirty street, which can be endearing when I’m in a laidback local Vietnamese mood, but I wouldn’t go here in a nice outfit.
Honestly, if you’ve experienced fine dining in the US and EU, this probably won’t blow you away. However, I think this is solid fine dining if you’re craving more western food & it’s definitely good value. I got a mocktail, an app, main, and dessert for $70. Where I’m from, just the main would be $70! Tried the salmon nori taco, duck, caramel ice cream. The food was pretty good but again nothing exceptional. The ice cream dessert was probably my favorite dish - it was a combination of sweet caramel ice cream with bitter dark chocolate ice cream, the combination was perfect. The little case of goodies at the end is cure too. And the ambience and service definitely deserves 5 stars.
