Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

I had a wonderful experience at Sol Kitchen & Bar. The food was absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Rosie, who provided outstanding service. She gave excellent recommendations for food, drinks, and even desserts, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The kitchen looked clean and well-maintained, the music created a nice vibe, and even the restroom was very clean and well cared for. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great service, and a pleasant dining atmosphere!

Amazing food, perfectly balanced flavours and generous portions. We had the beef cheek enchiladas and short ribs. The fleur de sol mocktail was also outstanding. Great service, very fast and kind. Koi our waitress did a great job. My only small gripe would be the atmosphere, when u come in the whole staff shouts welcome, which is very sweet initially, but they will shout it for every person/group who comes in, so if you arrive early in the evening the staff might be shouting a lot. Again it's a very small gripe, it was absolutely stunning here and well worth a visit, try to get a reservation if you can to avoid waiting in the heat.

Very nice Mexican/Latin American styled restaurant located in Saigon downtown. Nice decor although a bit hard to find the place for first timers (is on the 2nd floor of the corner building). Parking is tight and more suitable for bikes, scooters. Food is very good, I had a Latino friend with me and they said some of the dishes feel authentic and some look like a very localized version of their dishes. But I'm quite satisfied with the food overall. Presentation is nice too. Cannot say the same for the service, the waitor who served us has some bad attitude, and when presented with some requests to adjust the options (we each ordered the lunch set with starter, main course and dessert but one of my friends wanted 2 starter dishes without the main course) he just flat out declined instead of giving solution. It also took way too long to get served food, 30-40m wait. Not recommend for business lunch or if you have time constraint. Prices are quite high but understandable given the location.

Sol Kitchen & Bar delivers an exceptional dining experience that effortlessly combines great food, atmosphere, and outstanding service. From the moment you step inside, the space feels warm and stylish, making it suitable for both casual dinners and special occasions. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a balanced mix of well-executed classics and creative dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and strong attention to detail. Each dish we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. What truly elevated the entire experience, however, was the service — especially the incredible support from Koi. Koi was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests felt comfortable and well taken care of. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, making the evening feel personal rather than routine. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both professional and heartfelt, and Koi exemplifies exactly that. The bar menu also deserves praise, with well-crafted cocktails that pair perfectly with the food and add to the relaxed yet refined vibe of the restaurant. Overall, Sol Kitchen & Bar stands out not only for its quality cuisine but also for its exceptional hospitality. Thanks to Koi and the team, this was a memorable experience — one that we will gladly return for and highly recommend to others.

Our first time to try this restaurant for our first travel to Ho Chi Minh city and have no regrets to dine in here. They were listed at Michelin guide. The food we ordered are excellent and very much to our likings. We are looking for a change in our pallet for the past few days trying Vietnamese cuisine and Sol's offering for Latin American is a welcome change. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. The ambiance at the restaurant I would describe as energetic. We were seated at the bar which also is an open kitchen. Since it's our first time, it was very good to see all the dishes going out and how it looks like that encourages us to go back for more and try other offerings. If you do not mind the Sous Chef talking to the waiter staffs following thru every bit of their customers order; then bar side may not be for you but for us it was a feast for the eyes seeing dishes after dishes going out after the finishing touches....it made us go back for more to try other dishes we saw 😊 There are good selection of wines and price point is same in Philippines. Also selection of cocktails to choose from....we opted for wine, ended up ordering 2 bottles to celebrate the day 🤣 The service is very good as all staffs are very attentive. Shout out to our server named BER very much attentive to our ordered food getting to our table and keeping our wine glass from being empty. Furthermore in helping us out to get the bar seating for a dinner on 31 December as they are booked for the holidays. I will recommend to do a reservation as the restaurant seems to be booked at most time and you just take your chances of you do the walk-in as what we have done (for a Sunday dinner 😅) Sol deserved to be listed at the Michelin Guide 🎗️🏆and I hope they maintain it. I highly recommend this restaurant and for us, we will not hesitate to return and try their foods.👍
