Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

Rating: 3/5 My first visit here was absolutely wonderful — easily a 5-star experience. The food, service, location, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Unfortunately, today was a completely different story. From the start, I was seated near the kitchen entrance and left without a menu for about 5–7 minutes. I had to ask for one but the server apologized when she brought it so that’s fine. I ordered the grilled oysters, watermelon juice, and a beef wrap dish. The juice was good, but the oysters didn’t work for me — the nut topping didn’t complement them well. They were still attached to the shell, and while the shells were hot, no gloves were provided, which made eating them awkward. The bigger issue was the grilled beef in lot leaves. It arrived on a small, cramped plate with no sauce, no water to soften the rice paper, no side plate for assembling the wraps, and again — no gloves. These little things really added up. As for the dish itself, it was disappointing. The rice paper was too thick, there was no coriander, and the beef just didn’t taste good. I hate wasting food, so I ate what I could, but I’ve had this dish at many other places done much better — with De Tham Restaurant being the best so far. On a positive note, the pancake here is genuinely good. The ambiance is still relaxing — nice flowers, good music, and the resident cat adds a cozy touch. Plus, the restaurant stays open late. Overall, service and food quality seem to be hit or miss. A mixed experience, but there are still some highlights.

Wonderful experience at Soul Ben Thanh Restaurant & Bar. Phong, our server, was a very kind and attentive young gentleman (only 23 years old). He patiently helped us choose the right main course, and we absolutely loved it—every bite was truly relished. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place. All the best to the restaurant and kudos to Phong for making our evening special! 🌟

We got there by chance, but it was the best choice of tonight! The place was very nice and service great. My husband can’t eat any fats , so we struggled always when eating outside, but not here. They adjusted meniu for our needs. And we got a very delicious dinner. Thankful to the staff, especially Dom. He did his best to satisfy us. Thank you 🙏 Highly recommended 😋

We like this restaurant!! We weren't looking for it but I walked out the market and the beautiful flowers and decorations got my attention. Food was really good! We asked for the pork soup Cac Mon Chao to share (it's really big), and glass beef noodles for me and rice beef noodles for my husband. Everything was delicious. We eat outside wich is very nice at this season.

We were in HCMC and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. We are vegetarians and ordered Vegetable fried rice, fruit salad and stir fried morning glory. The star was the fruit salad, fresh crunchy fruits in light dressing with some leafy veggies was stunning in appearance and taste 👍 Have Already tried the stir fry morning glory in lots of garlic and loved it previously at a diff place. Veg fried rice had eggs, was botin thr mood for eggs in my rice, which neither we asked, nor the server reminded us, so yeah it was okays Rest the food is great. Ambience amazing. Staff is so helpful. Dom was amazing too Would totally recommend this one !
