Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch

This Mekong Delta Premium Tour with Speedboat & Lunch begins in Ho Chi Minh City, departing early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat and maximize time on the water. The journey follows the winding Mekong River, traveling southward into the heart of the delta region. Guests board a comfortable speedboat that swiftly navigates the river's channels, offering close-up views of the lush landscape and traditional river life. Along the route, the boat stops at several villages and small islands where visitors can step ashore to visit local homes, tropical fruit gardens, and artisanal workshops. The day includes a midday meal featuring regional specialties served at a riverside restaurant, providing a chance to taste fresh, locally sourced ingredients while enjoying views of the water. Key stops include a bee farm where the hum of busy bees fills the air and the scent of wildflowers lingers, allowing visitors to observe honey production methods that have been practiced for generations. At a fish farm, the sight and sound of carp and catfish swimming beneath wooden docks highlight the importance of aquaculture in the delta’s economy. The tour also visits a tropical garden abundant with jackfruit, durian, and rambutan trees, where the sweet and sometimes pungent aromas mingle. Visitors walk through shaded pathways lined with fruit trees and seasonal flowers, experiencing the delta’s natural bounty firsthand. Traditional basket weaving demonstrations and local markets showcase the daily crafts and trade that sustain these communities. Tour groups are kept small, generally capped at around 12 participants, to maintain an intimate atmosphere and allow the guide to engage with each guest. The guide provides detailed explanations in clear English, sharing insights into the daily life, farming techniques, and environmental challenges of the Mekong Delta. Transport is handled via a modern air-conditioned coach from Ho Chi Minh City to the boat dock, followed by the speedboat ride along the river. The itinerary balances time on the water with short walks in shaded, flat terrain, making the pace manageable but active. This tour is well-suited for travelers interested in rural life and ecological systems, as well as those who appreciate fresh local food and gentle outdoor activity. It offers a break from the urban environment of Ho Chi Minh City, inviting participants to observe and absorb the rhythms of one of Southeast Asia's most important river ecosystems. Individuals who enjoy photography or have an interest in agriculture and traditional crafts will find the stops particularly engaging.

We had a wonderful time at Vị Sài Gòn Restaurant & Café, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our stay in Saigon. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, clean tables, and friendly staff who make you feel at home without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place that feels both local and a bit refined at the same time. We started with the shrimp soup, which was absolutely delicious. The broth was full of depth — light yet flavorful, with a perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet notes. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked. Every spoonful felt comforting and rich, the kind of dish that makes you slow down just to enjoy every bite. It really showed the kitchen’s attention to detail and quality ingredients. Next, we had the caramelized pork ribs served in a small clay pot, and they were simply outstanding. The meat was soft, juicy, and perfectly glazed in a sticky sauce that balanced sweetness and saltiness beautifully. You could tell the dish was prepared with care, and the flavor was deep and authentic — exactly what you expect from Vietnamese comfort food. Then came one of the most interesting dishes of the night: thin slices of meat served with rice paper, herbs, and vegetables, so you could roll your own wraps at the table. It was a fun and interactive experience — everything was incredibly fresh, from the fragrant herbs to the crisp lettuce and well-seasoned meat. Rolling the rice paper yourself made the meal even more enjoyable, and it gave us that authentic Vietnamese dining experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. To finish, I ordered a coconut smoothie, and it was the perfect ending. It tasted like real coconut — creamy, smooth, and naturally sweet, not artificial at all. It was refreshing, perfectly chilled, and full of tropical flavor. I would honestly go back just for that smoothie alone. Everything we tried was excellent, and the prices were fair considering the quality and presentation. The staff were polite and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and pleasant. The only small downside — and the reason I’m giving four stars instead of five — is that when I went to the bathroom, there were no towels or paper to dry my hands. It’s a small detail, but in a place that otherwise feels so well cared for, it stood out. Still, that’s a very minor issue compared to how good the food was. Overall, Vị Sài Gòn Restaurant & Café is an excellent spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, friendly service, and a cozy dining experience. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely return next time I’m in Saigon.

The food was absolutely fantastic in here. We got the snail spring rolls, the shrimp spring rolls, the sea bass and the seafood broth - and everything was bursting with flavor. Thanks so much to Alex and the staff who took such great care of us - 10/10 recommend especially if you are coming from War Remnants Museum, less than a 10 minute walk 😊

The food was very good and unique. If you want to get a taste of creative local Vietnamese food you can get it here. Service was especially good thanks to Jim who helped make sure everything was in order. He was very patient and took the time make recommendations, explain each dish and the recommended way to enjoy each dish. The decorations also elaborately incorporated stylish Vietnamese elements. Definitely would recommend this to my friends.
